Bio’s
Dan started this company a little over 10 years ago, only back then he was known by the name of Dan-the-Dj. When Laura joined forces with Dan, they decide to alter the image of the company to reflect them both, reflect on both of their personalities and hence the start of Sounds of Distinction. Dan has always been very entrepreneurial; from his newspaper routes that would cover half of Brampton at the age of 8, to starting his first Landscape Construction company at the age of 16. Everything that Dan has ever decided he would do, he did, and to the best caliber possible. His ambition is hard to match. Dan is driven by motivation and in the Music Industry his motivation is to give the best experience a DJ can offer to any client and all of their guests. He is the type of person that will go out of his way to make everyone at an event feel welcome and special, a true gentleman.
Laura Forbes While Laura has been DJ’ing professionally now for 8 years, she has been accomplishing plenty in the way of industry knowledge and growth. Laura also owns and operates Marvelle Events, an event planning and management company. She specializes in focusing your vision and making it happen stress free on your day. Along with this, Laura also manages a local venue, the Alton Mill, where she is in charge of all of the Weddings and Special Events. Through extensive customer and client interaction, her people reading skills are fully developed to design the perfect mix for your experience. Laura’s first love will always be providing amazing Wedding music that will captive and invigorate yourselves and guests. The bonus to you is that she uses all of her knowledge and abilities to see that your experience is amazing from your first contact to your last dance.
